Pick up from your hotel is early morning between 5am and 6am. With a comfortable, air-conditioned car you will drive the newly built road through the desert. A first short break takes place after about 2 hours at a rest stop, where you can go to the toilet or stretch your legs. The journey continues to Quena, where it goes along the green and densely populated Nile valley . Here you get the first impressions of real life in Egypt. Let this experience sink in and you will reach Luxor around 10 am. There you will visit the temple complex of Karnak, the largest temple complex in the whole world with the famous pillared hall and the holy lake. Afterwards you go by bus to visit the centrally located Luxor temple, with the famous mosque of Abu elhagag. With a small motorboat you cruise on the Nile to experience Luxor from the water side. In order to enjoy a real local lunch, you will spend the break in an Egyptian restaurant. Afterwards, the bus will take you to your hotel and you will have time for a shower, a little nap to recharge your batteries and be ready for the evening. If you wish, you can experience the sound and light show in the Karnak Temple (optional, to be booked on site) in German or in different languages via hearing aids (approx. 1 hour). The evening is then at your leisure.
After your first night in the city on the Nile and after enjoying your breakfast, drive to Thebes West to admire the world-famous Valley of the Kings with the tombs of the pharaohs of the new kingdom. The golden pharaoh Tut Anch Amun also rests here. The bus will then take you to the terraced temple of Queen Hashepsut, considered the greatest builder in history. Here you can feel the spectacular atmosphere in front of this construction. Afterwards you can marvel at the colossal figures of Amenophis 3, known as the Colossi of Memnon, before you strengthen yourself with a typical lunch in Thebes West for the return trip to Hurghada. On the way back to Hurghada, you can relax in the bus and watch the hustle and bustle and life on the Nile and process your experiences of the Luxor 2 day tour. You will be back at your hotel around 6 p.m. and can then end the evening in a relaxed manner.
